Standards

WE BELIEVE IN THE EVOLUTION AND GROWTH
OF THE ROMANIAN FITNESS INDUSTRY THROUGH STANDARDS.

Driving up standards across the entire sector is an important part of our mission.

Romania Active is working in alliance with EuropeActive and IHRSA and is also on various Romanian and European committees to make sure that our members are at the fore-front of all new legislative changes, as well as being involved in the development of them.

Romania Active’s Code of Practice is designed to ensure that physical activity, health & fitness operators maintain a basic level of practice for safety, standards and best practices for quality and the wellbeing of their customers. By complying with the standards of the Romania Active Code of Practice the sector can start to raise the level of standards and operation throughout all Romanian Health, Fitness & Physical Activity facilities and create a symbol of quality that the exercising public will look for before joining a Health & Fitness club or centre. Compliance with the Romania Active Code of Practice communicates commitment to standards, quality and customer welfare. It is an important statement before the Government and other regulatory bodies that the Health & Fitness sector is a professional industry that takes its operation and duty of care seriously.

SAFETY STANDARDS
AND RECOMMENDED GUIDELINES

A pioneering health protection initiative of Romania Active that promotes exemplary safety practices within the health, fitness & physical activity industry.

The goal is to create, promote and encourage voluntary compliance with ‘best practices’ or standards for enhancing fitness services safety within the industry.

Standards of ‘best practice’ have vital importance to ensure that the health benefits associated with participation in fitness programs and services offered to the public are not threatened or compromised by exposure to unnecessary risks of accidental incidents, injuries, infections and other health related trauma.
