Romania Active is an employers’ organization, autonomous, non-political, set up on the basis of the principle of free association, as a legal person governed by private law, with no property purpose, set up under the Law No. 62/2011 concerning social dialogue in order to defend and promote the common rights and interests of its members, as stipulated by the legal provisions in force, the agreements, treaties and international conventions to which Romania is a party. Romania Active works, develops, represents, supports and defends the best interests of its members (entities active in the health and Fitness sector) in relations with public authorities, trade unions and other legal and natural persons at international and national level.
We are committed to ensuring that we collect and process the personal data belonging to our customers, our club members, our potential customers, the visitors of the Romania Active website, the recipients of our newsletters and commercial communications in accordance with the applicable data privacy laws.
When this policy mentions “Romania Active”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” it refers to Romania Active, headquartered at no. 27 Ion Brezoianu St., 8th floor, office no.1, Bog’art Center, 1st District, Bucharest, Romania, which is responsible for your information (“Data Controller”) under this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains what kind of personal data we collect, the manner of collecting such data, the usage, processing, and disclosure of such data and how you can manage and control the use of your personal data, so please read it carefully.
This Privacy Policy, together with the Terms & Conditions, sets out the basis on which Romania Active processes your personal data.
We define a “Member” as any individual who accesses and uses our services. Anyone wishing to become a member must meet the conditions set out for each type of Membership.
According to the data privacy legislation, personal data represents any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable person is the person that may be identified directly or indirectly.
This Privacy Policy regards the personal data belonging to our members, our potential members, the visitors of the Romania Active website, the recipients of our newsletters and commercial communications, and it applies to such data collected through our website, www.romaniaactive.ro, as well as to all other personal data we collect through e-mail or by any and all off-line methods.
The companies that want to become members of Romania Active, will provide the necessary information in order to register and acquire the quality of Member.

The name of the entity on behalf of which you are contacting Romania Active;
The website of the entity you represent.
The above listed personal data is processed on a contractual basis, pursuant to the provisions of article 6 letter b) of the EU Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (“GDPR”)
ROMANIA ACTIVE will also process the personal data belonging to its Members in order to comply with legal obligations, pursuant to the provisions of article 6 letter c) of GDPR.
ROMANIA ACTIVE will process your data for marketing purposes only if you expressly consent to such processing, respectively by granting consent through the consent collection mechanism implemented in the Member account or by signing a consent form, pursuant to the provisions of article 6 letter a) of GDPR.
2. Information we automatically collect
Usage Information: we collect information about your actions on the Romania Active website and/or mobile app, such as the type of content you view or the frequency and duration of your visits;
Location Information: we collect different types of information about your general location (e.g. IP address) and more specific information, if the localization function in the settings menu of your mobile device is enabled;
Device Information: we collect information about your computer, phone or any other device you use when you access the website member area and mobile app, such as hardware and firmware information, unique device identifiers, information locally stored on your device from browser web storage, the referring web page and application data caches and about the connection you use (e.g. browser type);
Information provided by Third-party partners: we collect the information that third-parties and partners share with us, such as clickstream behaviour.

Our employees, contractors and agents who have access to your personal information are required to keep that information confidential and are not permitted to use it for any purposes other than to enable you to access and enjoy the Romania Active services, as well as use the Romania Active website.
At the end of your contractual period, we reserve the right to automatically deactivate your account on the Romania Active website and the personal data you gave to us will be deleted.
In order to comply with local laws, regulations and legal requests, the Romania Active reserves its right to use, store, share or disclose your personal data, if is necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, addressing security issues, technical problems, fraud and the protection of Romania Active’s rights. In this regard, none of the provisions found in the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy are meant to be a waiver of Romania Active’s rights, a limitation of our legal defences in any way or of the access to the necessary legal proceedings.
In accordance with the applicable legal provisions with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, Romania Active undertakes to respect the rights of the data subject. In case we amend the Privacy Policy, we will post the revised Privacy Policy on the website and signalize the updated version by changing the “Last updated” date at the top of the Privacy Policy. The present version of the Privacy Policy was drafted in English and Romanian language and in case of any discrepancies between the English and Romanian versions, the Romanian version will prevail.
